Safety is a core value and a strategic priority at EQ Resources. Our most important measure of success is that every person who works with us remains safe and healthy at the end of each day. Importantly, we also promote a psychologically safe culture where people feel comfortable to be themselves and contribute. We recognise that this translates to increased productivity and retention and fosters innovation.
Mt Carbine Safety Performance
To protect our workforce, we continue to focus on enhancing safety culture and plant upgrades at our multi-site operations at Mt Carbine. We are continuously refining our Health and Safety Management System to ensure its efficacy for enabling health and safety practices and outcomes, and to embed a culture of learning. We seek to meet and exceed Resources Safety & Health Queensland’s vision of “zero serious harm” by operationalising our core value to “Act Safe. Feel Safe".
This includes taking action to:
- Effectively identify, understand and control the risks associated with the hazards in the workplace; and
- Investigate all safety incidents to ensure lessons are learned and corrective actions are adopted to prevent fatalities and serious harm.
