#FeelGoodFriday: Coming Together for Our Community🔥👨‍🚒🚒🧯

Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine team was an early responder to a hashtag#bushfire that threatened the Mt Carbine hashtag#community this week. Emergency response is what we train for and, working closely with our local Rural Fire Service, the threat was extinguished. Full credit to Brooklyn Wildlife Sanctuary, Mitch from the Mt Carbine Hotel, Darryl from the Mt Carbine Caravan Park, National Park Rangers, and other dedicated community members for joining the fight.

As you can see from the pics, the bush is tinder dry as we approach the end of the dry season. Fire is high on our risk register as we await the wet season deluges.

Using our expertise in crisis management and mine equipment like our large water truck, the community helped prevent the fire from spreading, safeguarding parts of the Mt Carbine village. The teamwork demonstrated by everyone involved showed the strength of our community when we come together to protect each other and our environment.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a part in this effort. It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of unity and shared responsibility as well as having dynamic and responsive action plans during hashtag#bushfireseason.

 Well done Mt Carbine community!
